Shiv Sena leader Raju Waghmare stated that since Burqas are permitted for voting, there should be no problem with them during tests.

Shiv Sena leader Raju Waghmare responded to Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane’s proposal to “ban burqa at examination centres,” saying that if burqas are allowed during voting, there should be no problem with them during exams.
Waghmare, on the other hand, claimed that part of Rane’s assertion is correct: the Mahayuti government will not accept “appeasement politics”.
Raju Waghmare of the Shiv Sena told ANI that half of what he claimed is correct: the Mahayuti government will not allow appeasement politics. But, at the same time, if it (Burqa) is permitted for voting, I do not believe there will be any issues during the tests. I don’t think about the pupils and their academics… we don’t think we should continue with this kind of statement since this land belongs to the thoughts and procedures of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Ambedkar…”
On Wednesday, Nitesh Rane wrote to state Education Minister Dada Bhuse, asking a ban on burqas at test centers for the 10th and 12th board exams, citing worries about potential cheating.
He advocated for uniform norms for Hindu and Muslim students, claiming that the Mahayuti administration in Maharashtra, which adheres to the Hindutva ideology, will not allow appeasement tactics. He further stated that those who choose to wear the hijab or burqa may do so at home, but not during examination centers.
“Our Hindutva-based government will not tolerate appeasement politics. The rules that are relevant to Hindu students should also apply to Muslim pupils. Those who wish to wear a burqa or hijab at home can do so, but at examination centers, they must pass their examinations with other students,” Rane, Maharashtra’s Minister for Fisheries and Ports, told ANI.
Meanwhile, Waghmare reacted to PM Modi’s statement, ‘AAPda walon ki lutiya Yamuna mein hi doobegi’, and lambasted the AAP, claiming that they have won on all counts in Delhi.
The Shiv Sena leader stated, “The AAP faces a lot of criticism for their leaders. Their leaders have been imprisoned, they are facing liquor corruption accusations, and the overall status of Delhi is poor…On all measures, the AAP has failed in Delhi…So, I guess that will happen.”
