Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Women & Child Development; Vinai Kumar Saxena, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi; and Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries, kicked off the 11th edition of the NBT “All Women Bike Rally,” sponsored by JK Tire Blaze Rydr, on Sunday from Connaught Place in New Delhi.
The ‘Swayam Siddh’ rally has as its theme the promotion of women’s empowerment via motorsports, the encouragement of self-reliance, and the celebration of whole women. The company released a media statement stating that over 2800 motorcyclists took part in the event, demonstrating their support for the cause and honouring the essence of womanhood.
The rally route went through a number of different parts of the capital, ending at CP and passing through Barakhamba Road, Mandi House Circle, India Gate Circle, Lodhi Road, Prithviraj Road, and K G Marg. Women on motorcycles of various ages followed the specially designed course.
