BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made a historic milestone in the United States!

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently certified Jennie’s song “One of the Girls,” a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp from the HBO series “The Idol,” platinum. This renowned accreditation represents over a million units sold.

Jennie’s achievement is particularly remarkable because she is the first female Korean soloist to win a platinum certification for a single in RIAA history.This achievement not only recognizes Jennie’s talent and popularity, but also demonstrates K-pop’s global impact on the music industry.

Jennie Kim, or simply Jennie, is a well-known South Korean singer, rapper, and actor. Jennie was born and raised in South Korea, and she spent five formative years studying in New Zealand before coming home in 2010. She rose to prominence as a member of BLACKPINK, YG Entertainment’s massively successful girl group that debuted in 2016.
