On National Girl Child Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised girls as ‘change-makers’ and highlighted the government’s efforts to give opportunity for girls to study, grow, and prosper.

Modi remarked on social media site X, “On National Girl Child Day, we honour the Girl Child’s indomitable spirit and accomplishments. We also appreciate each girl child’s enormous potential in all areas.”

The Modi administration introduced its flagship plan, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (Save Daughters, Educate Daughters), in 2015 to increase the child sex ratio and empower females through various methods.

Telangana Police SHE squads perform awareness campaigns in Hyderabad schools.

Telangana Police’s SHE Teams held extensive awareness campaigns on National Girl Child Day at various schools in the city.

“On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, SHE Teams, under the leadership of the Joint Commissioner of Police Crimes and SIT and Deputy Commissioner of Police Women Safety Wing, launched a joint effort by the Assistant Commissioner of Police and Inspector of Police. SHE Teams, in collaboration with three SHE Teams Hyderabad, organised a thorough awareness campaign at various schools on January 23, 2024,” Hyderabad police said in a statement on Tuesday.
