Hema Malini, a performer who is now a BJP MP, provided some motivation on her Instagram profile a few hours after she asked Vinesh Phogat to help her control her weight.
Hema Malini received backlash on the internet for her comments over Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification from the Olympics in Paris. The wrestler was disqualified for being overweight just before the finals, and the actor-turned-BJP MP argued that she should have maintained a healthy weight. Later in the day, Hema, however, attempted to change her direction.
Hema’s post for Vinesh Shortly after making her first media appearance outside the New Delhi Parliament, Hema posted a photo of Vinesh from the current Olympics in Paris on her Instagram account. She wrote in the photo’s caption, “Vinesh Phogat, the entire nation rallies behind you!” We all love you, the Olympic hero that you are. You have a bright future ahead of you and are meant for great things, so keep going! Just keep moving forward fearlessly (namaste emoji).
About Vinesh’s disqualification earlier in the day, Hema had told the reporters, “It is very surprising and bada ajeeb sa bhi lagta hain ki 100 gm ki wajah se woh Disqualify Ho Gayi.”Wazan ko theek se rakhna ata apna weight! Kitna mehatwa hain!” Although one hundred grams is a significant amount, hum sab ko isse ek achha seekh milna chahiye sab kalakaro ko, mahilayon ko sabko! Regarding her, we apologize.
She is 100 grams overweight, which is somewhat startling, and it feels weird that she was penalized for it. I hope she sheds those extra pounds rapidly. Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial. We can all learn from it. I would prefer that she shed those extra pounds rapidly, but she would not have the chance.
Internet responds
Hema’s U-turn, nevertheless, wasn’t well received on the internet. “Abh hate mini lagi toh post dadi (you posted now after getting hate) clever lady (skull face emoji)” was the remark left on her Instagram post. “Shame on you,” wrote someone else. “I was shocked to read your opening remarks. A fourth remark read, “Really shame on you for saying such words. The comment you made is of utter shame.” A third said, “Lost all respect for you .” Don’t attempt to be so kind; you are a brazen woman saying these kinds of things. Having those in authority like you is a question for us. “Everyone witnessed your remarks. One guy stated, “There’s no need to be nice after getting criticism. “Cease embellishing this post. We all witnessed what you said, @dreamgirlhemamalini,” an enraged commenter added.
After being disqualified in the 50 kg freestyle wrestling final at the Olympics in Paris, Vinesh Phogat declared her retirement from the sport. She announced her choice on Thursday morning in an emotional post on X. “I lost the wrestling match against Maa Kushti. Please pardon me for shattering both your dream and my bravery. I’ve used up all of my strength. Wrestling: Farewell, 2001–2024. I am forever grateful to all of you for your forgiveness,” Phogat wrote in her message.
