Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked by Kamala Harris to put an end to the conflict with Hamas to free the hostages in Gaza who have been held captive since October 7, 2023.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is under pressure to announce a truce in Gaza, with US Vice President Kamala Harris and Joe Biden saying, “Time to find an endgame.”

US Vice President and potential Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt the battle with Hamas to free the captives in Gaza, who have been held captive since October 7, 2023, on Thursday.

During her “frank and constructive” discussions, Harris conveyed her serious concerns about the “dire” humanitarian situation in Gaza as well as the high death toll from the nine months of fighting.

With all eyes on the US Vice-President, whom Biden had just backed, Harris restated the message of President Joe Biden that the slaughter in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of 39,000 Palestinians, must cease.

However, Harris has spoken about the gravity of the situation with greater vigor, according to the AP. Shortly after meeting with Netanyahu, Harris told reporters, “There has been hopeful movement in the talks to secure an agreement on this deal.” It’s time to close this agreement, as I just informed Prime Minister Netanyahu, Harris told the AP.

According to Harris, there is more to Israel’s conflict in Gaza than just siding with one side or the other. Netanyahu also had a meeting with Biden on Thursday. Biden has been pressuring Israel and Hamas to reach a cease-fire agreement.

According to a White House statement received by AP, Netanyahu and Biden discussed “the need to bring the hostages home, close the remaining gaps, finalize the deal as soon as possible, and reach a durable end to the war in Gaza.”

They also discussed ways to facilitate the delivery of supplies to Gaza and the persistent danger presented by terrorist organizations with Iranian support, such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.
