To promote gender equality and empower women, an all-female contingent will march down the Kartavya Path during the 75th Republic Day parade in Delhi on January 26.
For the first time ever, an all-women contingent of the Delhi Police will participate in the upcoming Republic Day parade. The 65-member team, led by female IPS officer Shweta K Sugathan, will showcase the capabilities of women in the police force as they march down Rajpath. The women will demonstrate their skills on 350cc Bullet motorcycles, which is expected to draw a lot of attention and excitement among the participants. This historic event is a proud moment for women in the police force and the nation as a whole.
The Delhi Police’s marching contingent has been a regular fixture at the Republic Day parade since India’s independence. This year’s all-women contingent is a significant step towards gender equality in the police force and is sure to inspire many young women to consider a career in law enforcement.
