An employee of Third Wave Coffee on BEL Road in Bengaluru, a 23-year-old guy, was taken into custody on Saturday for recording ladies using the restroom. A cell phone was discovered inside a garbage bin in the women’s restroom of the well-known coffee shop, shooting footage for around two hours.

The incident happened at the Third Wave Coffee location on BEL Road in the city, and it involves allegations that a worker concealed a phone in the women’s toilet. An individual who went by the username “Gangs Of Cinepur” on Instagram shared a narrative detailing the startling event.

“I was visiting the Third Wave Coffee shop in Bengaluru. A woman in the bathroom found a phone hidden in the trash can that had been recording video while facing the toilet seat for around two hours. “It was in flight mode, so it made no sound,” the story said.

The user said that just the camera was visible because the phone was well disguised. “The phone was modified to have a hole in it so just the camera was visible, and it was safely hidden inside the trash bag. It was not long before it was discovered that one of the men who worked there owned the phone. It read, “Action is being taken after the police were called and promptly arrived.

The user went on to warn others to exercise additional caution and vigilance when using restrooms in public areas. “Watching this was really horrifying. I promise to practise caution in whatever restroom I visit going forward, regardless of how well-known the chain of eateries is. I ask that you all follow suit. This is repulsive,” the narrative stated.

The woman reported the phone to the café staff, who recognized it as being used by one of their employees. The police were called to the area as soon as possible, and they rapidly arrived. According to a report by HT, authorities are looking into the situation and acting accordingly.

The well-known coffee company said, “We swiftly addressed the situation by terminating the person & ensuring our customers’ safety.” The police confirmed that the accused had been arrested under the IT Acts.

The accused, identified as Manoj, hails from Bhadravati in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district and is a resident of BEL Road.

An officer saw that Manoj tried to conceal the phone in the garbage with tissue papers by putting it in flight mode before switching it to recording mode to prevent interruptions from incoming calls.

“He stated that this was his first attempt at filming, but we’re not sure if he’s removed the other recordings. According to TOI, “We have taken possession of the phone and will be sending it for data retrieval,” stated another officer.
