Titwala, Maharashtra – In a disturbing incident, the Titwala police have registered a case against five men for allegedly gang-raping a 21-year-old woman earlier this week. Two women have also been booked for their alleged role in aiding the crime.
According to officials, the assault took place in a residential area in Titwala when the victim was lured into a trap by individuals known to her. The five accused men allegedly took turns assaulting the young woman, while the two female accomplices reportedly helped facilitate the act by misleading and restraining the victim.

The incident came to light after the survivor managed to reach out to authorities and file a complaint. Police sources confirmed that the case was registered on Wednesday and that an investigation is currently underway to track down all seven accused, some of whom are believed to be absconding.
“We are taking this matter very seriously. The survivor is currently under medical care, and her statement has been recorded. Efforts are on to ensure swift arrests,” said a senior police officer involved in the probe.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents demanding strict punishment for those involved. Women’s rights groups have also called for fast-track proceedings and extended support to the victim.
Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
