New Delhi, Google has officially launched its next-generation AI video tool, Veo 3, in India, giving creators access to advanced video generation technology directly through the Gemini app. The tool is now available to users subscribed to the AI Pro plan, priced at ₹1,950 per month, with a 30-day free trial for new users.

Veo 3 allows users to generate 8-second high-definition videos using simple text or image prompts, while also supporting integrated audio, sound effects, and music. The tool builds on previous versions with major improvements in motion quality, character consistency, and scene rendering — offering more realism and storytelling control for content creators.
Under the current rollout, Indian users can create up to three “Veo 3 Fast” videos per day. After that, the service reverts to the earlier Veo 2 model for additional video generations. Each video comes with both visible watermarks and Google’s SynthID invisible watermark, designed to ensure transparency and prevent misuse.
The launch marks a significant expansion of Google’s creative AI suite in India, aligning with its broader rollout of Gemini-powered tools across the globe. Alongside Veo 3, subscribers also gain access to other premium features such as Gemini Flow, NotebookLM, and deeper integration with Workspace tools.
“Veo 3 is a game-changer for creators, marketers, and educators in India,” said a Google India spokesperson. “It puts cinematic-quality visuals within reach of anyone with a smartphone and an idea.”
The company also hinted at future integration of Veo-generated content with platforms like YouTube Shorts, Google Slides, and third-party tools such as Canva, enabling seamless publishing across social and professional media.
While Veo 3’s capabilities are powerful, Google has set usage boundaries to ensure responsible AI use. The company emphasized that it will continue refining its content safety mechanisms and watermarking technologies as adoption grows.
With India now part of the Veo 3 rollout, the tool is expected to accelerate local content innovation — from AI-powered storytelling and advertising to virtual teaching aids and personal projects.
