A woman is being praised on social media after a viral video showed her save an elderly man who had a heart attack at Delhi Airport.

Rishi Bagree, a social media user, published the videos on X, which show a woman who looks to be a doctor performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a man laying on the floor. According to Bagree, the man, who is in his 60s, had a heart attack at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2.

The caption stated, “Today at T2 Delhi Airport, a man in his late 60s had a heart attack in the food court area. In 5 minutes, this lady doctor had revived him.I’m quite proud of Indian doctors.Please share this so that she is recognized.” 

The first video shows the doctor desperately pounding the man’s chest while shouting out to airport personnel. The next video shows the man regaining consciousness as the doctor continues to administer CPR.

With 6.9 million views, the internet applauded the doctor for her prompt response to the situation. One person commented, “Salute to the doctor! Every Indian should learn to perform CPR. In Germany, it is part of the first aid training, which is required to obtain a driver’s licence.” Meanwhile, a second user said, “That’s wonderful news! Congratulations to the lady doctor, who acted quickly and revived the gentleman within 5 minutes. Proud of our doctors for their dedication and life-saving abilities!”
