The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results of NEET UG 2025. While the top ranks have been swept by male candidates, female aspirants made up nearly 60% of the total qualified students across India—highlighting a contrasting performance trend at the summit and in the overall results.

Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan secured a perfect 720/720, clinching the top spot nationally. The next three positions were also secured by male candidates, reaffirming a pattern of male dominance at the very top. However, female candidates outnumbered males in overall qualification, with more than 722,000 female aspirants clearing the exam, compared to around 514,000 male qualifiers.
This year, over 2.2 million candidates appeared for NEET UG, India’s most competitive medical entrance examination. Despite males leading the top tier, the broader numbers show that female candidates formed approximately 59% of all successful aspirants—a strong indicator of increasing female participation and consistent performance across the board.
The NEET UG 2025 counselling process will begin soon, and successful candidates will be eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical programs across the country.
