New Delhi, Reliance Jio has officially launched the AX6000 WiFi 6 Universal Router, a high-speed networking device designed to meet the growing demands of Indian households and smart homes. Priced at an introductory offer of ₹5,999, down from its listed MRP of ₹14,999, the new router is now available through JioMart, Reliance Digital, Amazon India, and Jio’s official website.
The AX6000 router supports WiFi 6 technology and promises combined speeds of up to 6,000 Mbps, making it suitable for 4K/8K streaming, online gaming, and multiple device usage. It features AI Mesh technology, allowing users to expand Wi-Fi coverage across larger homes by seamlessly connecting with compatible Jio extenders.
Equipped with eight internal antennas and powered by a quad-core chipset, the router can cover an area of up to 2,000 square feet. It also supports over 100 connected devices simultaneously, making it ideal for large families and smart home setups.
One of the key highlights is the inclusion of AI-powered Smart Mesh, which automatically manages device connections for optimal performance, eliminates dead zones, and ensures consistent signal strength throughout the house. The router also features a dedicated 2.4GHz IoT mode to support smart appliances like CCTV cameras, smart TVs, and home automation systems.
However, the router only supports IP over DHCP protocols, meaning it may not be compatible with broadband providers that rely on PPPoE or IPoE, a factor customers are advised to check before purchase.
For security, the AX6000 comes with WPA3 encryption, ensuring advanced protection for home networks. The product also includes a 1-year warranty on the router and 6-month warranty on the power adapter.
