The spouse of a Hyderabadi woman, 36, who was found dead in Australia, took a plane to Hyderabad and gave their daughter to her parents.

Chaithanya Madhagani’s body was discovered on Saturday in a wheelie bin by the side of the road in Buckley, according to sources. In Australia, she was residing with her spouse and child. The dead were from Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy’s seat, he said. He met her parents today after receiving information.

According to the Legislator, he filed a letter to the MEA to bring the woman’s lifeless remains to Hyderabad at her parents’ request, as PTI was informed.

The MLA claimed that he had also brought this to the attention of union minister G Kishan Reddy’s office. After taking a plane to Hyderabad, the woman’s husband gave the child to his in-laws. The MLA went on to say that their son-in-law “confessed” to killing their daughter based on the information given by her parents.

In a statement posted on their website on March 9, the Victoria Police stated, “Death Squad detectives are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased person in Buckley, close to Winchelsea. About noon, officers discovered the body on Mount Pollock Road.”

It added that the death is being investigated as suspicious and that a second crime scene has been set up at a domestic location on Mirka Way, Point Cook, and is thought to be related to the homicide.

According to the statement, the perpetrator may have fled abroad and it is assumed that the persons involved know one another at this point in the investigation.
