In the Alwar district of Rajasthan, three unexplained, decomposed bodies of a lady and two children were found in a well on Monday, according to the police.

The Vaishali Nagar police station reports that some onlookers alerted the authorities to the foul smell coming from the well next to National Highway-248.

When a police squad arrived, they removed the bodies from the well. The bodies’ chained hands and legs raised the possibility of murder.

“After hearing from the locals, a crew went to the location and, with civil defence’s assistance, removed the bodies from the well. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary of the district hospital and appear to be three or four days old, according to DSP Narayan Singh.

The woman was approximately 35 years old, while the children, who were dressed in Madarsa Board uniforms, were between the ages of 10 and 14.
