Mainpuri (UP): On Saturday, a tractor-trolley in Uttar Pradesh was struck by a truck, resulting in the deaths of four women and the injuries of twenty others, according to authorities. About 35 persons were riding in the tractor-trolley when the tragedy occurred at 4 am close to Fardpur village. They were coming from a child’s “namkaran” ceremony, according to reports.

When they got to Fardpur village, the tractor’s headlight started having some issues, according to Inspector Bichwan Police Station Avanish Kumar Tyagi. The tractor-trolley was hit by a fast truck, so they parked it by the side of the road to mend it.

According to him, four injured individuals—three of them were women—were taken in critical condition to Safai Hospital, and twenty injured persons were brought to the district hospital.

According to the SHO, Dropadi Devi (40) passed away from her wounds while traveling to the hospital, but Fulmat (35), Ramakanti Devi (45), and Sanjay Devi (30) all passed away immediately.
