Guwahati, April 1: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, a financial assistance scheme aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs across the state. Under this initiative, eligible women receive a grant of Rs 10,000 to support their businesses, fostering self-reliance and economic growth.

First Phase Implementation

In the first phase of the scheme, 23,367 women in Behali received financial aid in the form of Rs 10,000 cheques distributed by CM Sarma. This large-scale disbursement marks a significant step towards promoting financial independence for women from economically weaker sections.

“Women are the backbone of our society, and their economic independence is crucial for the state’s progress. This initiative will help them grow their businesses and contribute to the economy,” the Chief Minister stated during the launch event.
