Maria Callas will be portrayed by Angelina Jolie in the Pablo Larrain-directed movie. The last week of the well-known opera singer’s 1977 life is the subject of the movie.

Angelina at the film festival sheds tears.

Angelina donned a fur stole with a beige gown that Tamara Ralph custom-made for the Thursday night event. Pierfrancesco Favino, Angelina’s co-star in Maria, consoled her after she became distraught. She was also observed briefly putting her head on his shoulder. Pablo Larrain, the film’s director, assisted her as well in climbing the steps, after which she bowed to the crowd.

Admirers laud the “queen”

“She’s been through so much, so to get this praise for her work must feel amazing,” an admirer commented in response to a video. One remark said, “Best human, gorgeous woman.” “If there’s one celebrity I stan, it will always be Angelina Jolie,” an individual wrote. “Queen is back,” a second admirer tweeted. “I hope she wins the Oscar,” said someone else.

Concerning Maria

Angelina will play renowned opera soprano Maria Callas in the Pablo Larrain-directed movie. Maria concentrates on the last week she spent in Paris in 1977. She is completely alone, with only her housemaid (Alba Rohrwacher) and butler (Pierfrancesco Favino) to take care of her. They are worried about her health, the medications, and the disastrous repercussions of her weakened voice. The movie will be available on Netflix, although the exact date has not yet been disclosed.

In portraying Maria Callas, Angelina

“I felt such a privilege to feel like I got to know this woman and got to be inside her skin for a moment,” Angelina said in an Associated Press interview on Thursday. I have the utmost regard for her. I believe I’ll handle that with friendliness. As I sat in my small robe as an elderly lady and put on her large spectacles and Greek hair, I sensed a (Maria) that felt like the private (Maria) that the outside world was unaware of. And I first felt a connection with her and even came to adore her.

She spent about seven months in training to be ready for the position. The singing in the movie is a combination of authentic vocals and acting. “The first few days in Larraín were excellent for me because we had a more private setting with fewer crew members,” Jolie said. “And we all ended up in La Scala. I therefore had some time to gather my courage. However, I’ve never done anything harder than this. I was frightened.
