Bharti Airtel announced on Wednesday that it has deployed extra spectrum across all 50 districts in Rajasthan, expanding 5G/4G network capacity and improving voice and data connection for consumers in the state.

The rollout will also broaden Airtel’s coverage along highways and rail routes, as well as enhance its presence in rural regions, as connectivity demand grows exponentially.

According to an Airtel announcement, the company has finished the deployment of the additional spectrum acquired in July 2024. The additional spectrum has been deployed in all 50 districts throughout the state.

“The deployment of additional 5MHz on the 1800 band and additional 4Mhz on the 900 band will give a boost to Airtel’s 5G/4G network capacities, which, in turn, will improve and enhance data speeds and provide significantly better coverage inside homes and buildings both in urban and rural areas,” according to a release.

Subscribers in Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Alwar, Sikar, Pali, and other cities would benefit from improved voice and data service quality, according to the business.

“With the integration of this new spectrum, customers across the state can now enjoy enhanced call connectivity, faster data speeds, and overall improved performance,” Marut Dilawari, CEO of Bharti Airtel Rajasthan, said.

Bharti Airtel obtained 97 Mhz of spectrum in the recently ended spectrum auction.

It not only reclaimed the expired spectrum holdings, but it also enlarged its sub-GHz spectrum and merged its fragmented spectrum blocks into a single continuous spectrum.

“With its diverse spectrum holdings across the 900, 1800, 2100 and 2300 bands, the company is well positioned to serve the growing demand for high-speed data services with 5G and 4G network,” according to the announcement.

To address increased data demands, the telco recently began refarming the mid-band spectrum for 5G.
