“The best person to do this is Sunita Kejriwal,” asserts AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj.

Leader of the AAP Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that Sunita, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, had a “positive effect” on party members.

The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Saurabh Bharadwaj, stated on Friday that Sunita, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is the most suitable candidate to head the party “under the current circumstances.”

Bharadwaj’s remarks were made against the backdrop of Arvind Kejriwal’s apprehension in relation to a money-laundering case that was connected to the excise scheme that the Delhi government later abandoned. She has had a “positive effect” on the cadre, he claimed.

“She is carrying Arvind Kejriwal ji’s messages. Our party cadre and supporters have been greatly impacted by this. We wish to spread it. She is the most qualified individual to maintain the party’s unity under the current conditions, Bharadwaj told news agency PTI on Friday.

Is this again another indication that Sunita Kejriwal intends to assume a significant position in the Delhi administration and AAP? 

Sunita is one of the politicians who spearheaded the opposition to the central government, which is run by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ever since Arvind Kejriwal’s incarceration. Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections in 2020, the Opposition claimed that the BJP is “missing” key investigative organizations.

Thus far, Sunita has read out his communications from Tihar Jail and ED custody during three digital briefings. She even took the dias at the March 31 major gathering of the INDIA bloc. She referred to Kejriwal as a “lion” during her remarks at the gathering held at Delhi’s Ramlila Ground. She read out Kejriwal’s statement from behind bars as well.

PTI was previously informed by party sources that Sunita Kejriwal is expected to take on a “significant role” in the AAP.

In response to a question on whether Sunita Kejriwal will represent the party in the Lok Sabha elections, Bharadwaj added, “We would love if this thing happens… if Sunita ji does take part in campaigning but it is her personal decision.”

The minister denied there was any “messaging” in Sunita Kejriwal taking center stage following her husband’s detention when pressed further, according to PTI.
