New Delhi, April 15:
In a chilling development from Northeast Delhi, a 20-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the GTB Enclave area late Sunday night. The incident has sparked concern among residents and prompted a full-scale investigation by local authorities.
According to police officials, the woman’s body was discovered near a residential lane around 11:30 PM. She was reportedly seen hours earlier in the company of an unidentified man. Neighbours heard a brief commotion but assumed it was a routine argument—until silence followed.

When she was found unresponsive, emergency services were immediately called, and she was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
“There were no visible injuries on the body, but we are treating the case with utmost seriousness. The postmortem will provide more clarity,” a senior police official told reporters on Monday morning.
The identity of the woman has not been publicly released, but sources suggest she was a student who had been living in the area for the past year.
Police are examining CCTV footage from the locality and questioning nearby residents. An FIR under Section 174 of the CrPC (unnatural death) has been registered. Investigators have not ruled out foul play.
Residents have voiced growing concerns over safety in the area, especially for women. “This isn’t the first time something like this has happened here after dark,” said a local shopkeeper who requested anonymity.
The Delhi Commission for Women is also expected to take cognisance of the matter in the coming days. As the investigation continues, the city waits for answers—for justice, and for some peace to return to a neighbourhood now cloaked in grief.
