According to police, a 27-year-old lady who was hit by an unidentified two-wheeler in Greater Noida West’s Gaur City township last Saturday died of her injuries on Wednesday morning.

According to a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Rohit Kumar, “On Friday around 7 p.m., Vaishali was returning home from school when she was hit by a two-wheeler while crossing the road.” The unknown driver of the car hit her and dragged her for a few yards before escaping, leaving my sister to die. An auto-rickshaw driver passing by that route admitted her to a private hospital in the vicinity.”
Anil Rajpoot, station house officer at Bisrakh police station, said a FIR was filed in the case on Sunday evening.
“Police received information about the incident from the hospital following which the woman’s kin were contacted and a first information report was registered against unidentified person on Sunday based on the complaint filed by the brother,” the chief of police said.
Based on the complaint, a FIR was filed under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (rash driving) and 338 (grievous harm by conduct endangering life or personal safety of others).
“Section 304A (death due to negligence) of the IPC is being added to the FIR because the victim died from his injuries on Wednesday morning.” We are reviewing CCTV video from the neighbourhood in order to identify the vehicle’s driver. So far, we’ve determined that the vehicle that struck the instructor was a Splendour bike. “The perpetrator will be apprehended soon,” claimed the SHO.
